297 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the number of public libraries which now offer access to the Internet; the number which offer media centre access; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16019/01]
Almost 300 public libraries now offer Internet access.
Multimedia material such as CDs, tapes, films, videos and computer software is available in most public libraries. The number of libraries which have dedicated centres for multimedia facilities is not available in my Department.
