Vol. 539 No. 1

Written Answers. - Orthodontic Service.

Billy Timmins

Question:

234 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Health and Children the length of time a person (details supplied) in County Wicklow has been on the Eastern Health Board waiting list for orthodontic treatment; when this person will receive treatment; if it is possible for this person to transfer to another health board; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18625/01]

The provision of orthodontic services for eligible persons in County Wicklow is the statutory responsibility of the Eastern Regional Health Authority. I have asked the authority's chief executive officer to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
