254 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when the balance of a 2000 extensification grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Galway; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23048/01]
Payable orders amounting to £1,218.93 or 1,547.72 being the entire amount of 2000 extensification premium due to the person named will issue within the next two weeks. In addition, an amount of £31.89 or 40.49 due in euro compensation will also issue at the same time.
255 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo has not received an area based payment; if there is a problem with this application; and if so, if this person has been notified accordingly. [23176/01]
The person named submitted an area aid application which included two parcels in respect of which dual claims were determined. My Department has contacted both herdowners to clarify the matter and is awaiting responses. No payments can issue until this matter has been satisfactorily resolved.
