Question:

333 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the position in relation to a new sewerage scheme (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22782/01]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 332 and 333 together.

I approved Kildare County Council's tender recommendation for the Castledermot sewage treatment plant on 2 July 2001 and it is now a matter for the council to advance the works to construction. Contract documents for the collection system are currently under examination in my Department.
