308 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be called for knee surgery. [25058/01]

The provision of medical services in this instance is the responsibility of the Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and reply to the Deputy directly.

310 Mr. Lawlor asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will examine the case of a person (details supplied) in County Dublin; when this person will be called; if a more reassuring response could be forthcoming for the person; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25071/01]

Responsibility for the provision of hospital services to residents of Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
