Vol. 542 No. 5

Written Answers. - Residency Applications

Jack Wall

Question:

414 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the position regarding an application for residency by persons (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25205/01]

The persons in question have made an application for permission to remain, based on their parentage of a Irish citizen child born in June 2001. Applications of this nature are dealt with in chronological order and, as my Department is currently dealing with applications in respect of children born in December 2000, it is likely to be several months before the application in question is finalised.
