464 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will make a statement on the provision of a sports hall for Castleknock Community College, Carpenterstown Road, Dublin 15; and when he expects the sports hall to be built. [25150/01]
A stage I submission has been received in the building unit of my Department for the construction of a sports hall of 806mf7>2 at Castlek nock Community College. The building unit's technical staff are currently examining this submission. The Deputy will appreciate that there has been a massive and unprecedented increase in the funds allocated by this Government to the schools building programme at all levels. Decisions relating to the rate of progress to construction of projects, including the sports hall at Castleknock Community College, will be taken in the light of the allocations to be made for school building purposes in the forthcoming Estimates.
