I have no plans at present to appoint an honorary consul in the Faroe Islands. However, I will keep the question under review in the context of the further development of Ireland's network of Honorary Consulates abroad as part of my Department's continuing efforts to improve the level of assistance and support provided to Irish citizens and economic interests overseas.
