339 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason the reports (details supplied) are not being made available to the family or general practitioner of a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; if St. James's Hospital, Dublin, have the reports; if the full details of the case will be made available to the medical representatives of this person; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Responsibility for the provision of services for people living in County Kilkenny rests with the South Eastern Health Board. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer at the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly.

Question:

340 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be admitted to the Mater Hospital, Dublin for a heart by-pass. [28989/01]

The provision of medical services in this instance is the responsibility of the Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and reply to the Deputy directly.
