Vol. 545 No. 2

Written Answers. - Bullying in the Workplace.

Jan O'Sullivan

Question:

65 Ms O'Sullivan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if procedures have been established in Enterprise Ireland to address complaints of bullying and or sexual harassment; if not, the cause of the delay; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [30083/01]

The issue the Deputy has raised is primarily a matter for the agency in question. However, I understand from the agency that procedures are in place to address complaints of bullying and sexual harassment in Enterprise Ireland.

However, work with the trade unions on formulating a comprehensive new set of policies in this area is close to completion. It is expected that the resulting policy will be entitled The Protection of Dignity at Work and will encompass an agreed bullying and-or sexual harassment policy for the agency.
