270 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the efforts which have been made by the South-Eastern Health Board to fill the vacant position of clinic co-ordinator at St. Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny; the length of time the position has been vacant; the person carrying out the work since the position became vacant; the number of requests for work experience associ ated with this position which have been made and refused. [30839/01]

The provision of services, including the appointment of staff at St. Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny, is a matter for the South-Eastern Health Board. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the board to look into this matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
