Question:

101 Mr. Sheehan asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources when approval and funding will be allocated to Cork County Council for improvements and extension to Dunmanus Pier, Goleen, County Cork. [31027/01]

Dunmanus Pier, Goleen, is owned by Cork County Council and responsibility for its maintenance and repair rests with the county council in the first instance. My Department has not, to date, received any proposals from Cork County Council in relation to this pier. Should the county council put forward proposals, they will be considered in the context of the funding available for works at fishery harbours generally and overall national priorities.
