422 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Finance if a contractor has been appointed for the development of the new Government offices in Roscommon town; if so, the name of the contractor; the estimated cost of the project; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1948/02]

443 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Finance the allocation of accommodation planned for the Government offices to be constructed in Roscommon town; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2486/02]

I propose to answer Questions Nos. 422 and 443 together.

Submissions have been invited from developers for the provision of new Government office accommodation at Convent Road, Roscommon, on the basis of a design-build competition. The closing date for receipt of submissions is noon on 18 February 2002. The cost of the project will be determined when a developer has been selected. The scale of the proposed building is approximately 5,000 sq.m.

Department of Agriculture, Food and Rural Development

District Veterinary Office

District Livestock Office

Farm Development Office

Department of Education and Science

Local Office

National Educational Psychological Service

The Revenue Commissioners
