225 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation if a grant may be payable to an organisation which has been involved in the promotion of a major community event which has now incurred some indebtedness; if this organisation may qualify for grant aid; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Based on the information provided by the Deputy it is not possible for me to provide an answer. My Department administers a sports capital programme and a local authority swimming pool programme, both of which relate specifically to proposed capital expenditure projects. Details, including eligibility criteria of the 2002 sports capital programme, are still available on the Department's website although it has been closed for applications since 4 January.
