Written Answers. - Flood Relief.
There is no funding available in my Department to provide financial assistance for farmers affected by flooding. However, a scheme was recently announced by the Office of Public Works aimed at providing humanitarian assistance to relieve hardship arising from flooding of people's homes as a result of severe rainfall on 9 and 10 November and 14 and 15 November. This scheme will be administered by the Irish Red Cross Society.
