188 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Education and Science further to Parliamentary Question No. 145 of 6 November 2002, if he will again review the extension of the school transport for persons (details supplied); if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the distance is only half a mile; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The position regarding transport arrangements for the family referred to by the Deputy was explained in a letter which was issued by the school transport section of my Department on 20 November 2002. I have reviewed the position and as the extension requested by the Deputy will encroach into an adjoining catchment area I am not in a position to extend the service.
