Written Answers. - Special Educational Needs.

Paul Connaughton

Question:

359 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Education and Science when a decision will be made on an application for home tuition by a person (details supplied) in County Galway, in respect of their child (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1141/03]

Arising from an appeal by the family of the pupil in question, the issue of providing home tuition in this case was referred to my Department's inspectorate for consideration.

The inspectorate's report has now been received and is being considered. A response will issue to the child's family shortly.
