Vol. 561 No. 1

Written Answers. - Visa Applications.

Jack Wall

Question:

460 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if a person (details supplied) in county Kildare who supplied all information in regard to a holiday visa for their spouse and child will be permitted such a visa in view of the fact that they are here for 15 months and have a visa to cover this period; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3251/03]

The visa applications to which the Deputy refers were approved last December.

Eamon Gilmore

Question:

461 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if his Department has received an application for a visa from a person (details supplied) in County Dublin; if this application has been processed; if this application has been determined; if the family has been notified of the outcome; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3365/03]

A visa application was received from the person in question but it was refused due to lack of supporting documentation. I understand from the Department of Foreign Affairs the family of the person in question have been notified.

It is open to the applicant to appeal against the refusal by writing to the visa appeals officer in my Department. The immigration division, which includes the visa office, is located in 13-14 Burgh Quay, Dublin 2.
