Vol. 561 No. 4

Written Answers. - Services for People with Disabilities.

Breeda Moynihan-Cronin

Question:

343 Ms B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Health and Children if his attention has been drawn to the ward closures in a centre (details supplied) in County Dublin; if so, if there will be no worsening of the situation of these patients; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4311/03]

Responsibility for the provision of services to persons with intellectual disabilities in the Dublin region lies with the Eastern Regional Health Authority in the first instance. My Department has, therefore, asked the regional chief executive officer of the authority to investigate the matter and to reply directly to the Deputy.
