380 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism the names of persons from County Roscommon who are currently on State boards under the authority of his Department; the date of their appointment; the duration of their term; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6929/03]
In so far as I am aware, there are no persons from County Roscommon currently serving on any State board under the authority of my Department.
381 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism the names of persons from his constituency whom he has appointed to State boards; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6944/03]
I have appointed the following people from my constituency to State boards. On 20 September 2002 and on 4 November 2002 I appointed Mr. Mick O'Dwyer, Waterville, County Kerry and Ms Sheila Dickson, Killarney, County Kerry, respectively, to the Irish Sports Council. On 21 November 2002 I appointed Mr. Christopher O'Connell, Valentia Road, Caherciveen, County Kerry to the National Archives Advisory Council for a period of five years. On 13 June 2002 I appointed Mr. Páidi Ó Sé, Ard a' Bhóthair, Fionntrá, Contae Chiarraí to the board of Bord Fáilte. On 9 December 2002 I reappointed Mr. Ó Sé along with Mr. Patrick O'Donoghue, Glen Eagle Hotel, Muckross Road, Killarney, County Kerry, whose terms had expired on 8 December 2002, to the board of Bord Fáilte until 31 March 2003 or until the date of the establishment of the National Tourism Development Authority, whichever is the sooner. On 24 January 2003 I appointed Mr. John Hegarty, Ballygamboon Wood, Castlemaine, County Kerry to the board of Bord na gCon.
