Vol. 563 No. 1

Written Answers - Respite Services.

Denis Naughten

Question:

390 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will maintain and expand the Ash Tree House Respite Service in Ballinasloe, County Galway; the funding allocation for this service in 2002 and 2003; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6917/03]

The provision of health related services, including respite care, is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority and the health boards in the first instance. Accordingly, the Deputy's question has been referred to the Chief Executive Officer of the Western Health Board with a request that she examine the matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
