474 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Transport, further to Parliamentary Question No. 1302 of 9 October 2002, when he intends to introduce the ban on the use of mobile phones; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7386/03]

Possible options for providing in primary legislation for authority to regulate the ban on the use of mobile phones by drivers are being examined in my Department at present.
