Vol. 563 No. 1

Written Answers - Naturalisation Applications.

Denis Naughten

Question:

495 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform further to Parliamentary Question No. 810 of 29 January 2003, the position in relation to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo who has applied for a certificate of naturalisation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7085/03]

I have recently approved the application for a certificate of naturalisation in respect of the person referred to and a certificate of naturalisation will issue as soon as certain statutory and other requirements, including the making of a declaration of loyalty to the State and fidelity to the nation and payment of the statutory fee, have been complied with. The applicant has been notified in writing of my decision.
