526 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the amount of money the EU contributed towards the restoration of Portumna Castle from 1989 to 2002 inclusive; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7021/03]
An EU co-financed programme of works at Portumna Castle was undertaken during the years 1989-2000 and eligible expenditure under the EU programme during this period amounted to some €3,643,880 of which €2,318,200 was contributed by the EU. There has been no EU funded project at Portumna Castle since 2000.
