255 Aengus Ó Snodaigh asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the cost to the State of the provision of Garda riot squad officers to protect the British embassy from a peaceful anti-war protest on 20 March 2003. [8703/03]

I am informed by the Garda authorities that the public order unit was employed on duty at the British embassy on 20 March 2003 during the anti-war protest at a cost of €992.16.
