Vol. 564 No. 5

Written Answers - Drug Treatment Services.

Olivia Mitchell

Question:

276 Ms O. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) in Dublin 16 is not being supplied with the drug Fabryzyme following his application to the South West Area Health Board in view of the fact that this drug is being supplied by other health boards; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9769/03]

Responsibility for the provision of health services to residents of Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has, therefore, asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the position in this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
