Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

Joe Sherlock

Question:

106 Mr. Sherlock asked the Minister for Health and Children when, in view of the long delay in providing the promised extended dialysis unit at Beaumont Hospital, the unit is to be provided; the funding which has been allocated for it; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12027/03]

A proposed capital development for the dialysis unit at Beaumont is at present being considered by my Department in the context of a review of capital priorities overall in line with resources available under the national development plan. My Department will continue to liaise closely with the Eastern Regional Health Authority in relation to this project.
