Vol. 568 No. 1

Written Answers. - Decentralisation Programme.

Emmet Stagg

Question:

271 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Finance if he intends to transfer offices of the Revenue Commissioners to Maynooth or Celbridge, County Kildare; the numbers involved; the likely timeframe for the transfer; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15357/03]

I am aware that, as part of a general restructuring of their office, the Revenue Commissioners have decided to create new administrative districts to handle all revenue business in the counties of Kildare, Meath and Wicklow.

Planning is well advanced, and the commissioners inform me that decisions will soon be made on the exact location and the number of staff involved. Once those decisions are made, a likely timeframe for implementation will be determined.
