Vol. 568 No. 1

Written Answers. - Departmental Properties.

Seán Haughey

Question:

272 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for Finance if the Office of Public Works has land in the vicinity of the Casino Monument in Marino, Dublin 3, which could be developed into a pitch and putt course; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15358/03]

I have been advised by the Com missioners of Public Works that the development potential of this land has yet to be assessed, and no decision on the future use of the land will be made until this assessment is completed.

In any assessment of development potential, it would be of paramount importance that the casino and its environs be safeguarded to the greatest extent possible.
