479 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Health and Children when the investigation into alleged staff bullying and alleged assaults at St. Mary's Hospital, Phoenix Park, will be com pleted; the stage the investigation is at; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15168/03]
In November 2002 the case to which the Deputy refers was investigated by the Labour Court under section 20 of the Industrial Relations Act. The Labour Court recommended that an independent mediator be appointed to assist in resolving the issues in dispute and all parties agreed to participate in this process. In the circumstances it would not be appropriate for me to comment further.
