518 Mr. P. Breen asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason NDP capital funding was not made available to the Mid-Western Health Board for physical and sensory disability services in 2002 and to date in 2003; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15352/03]
It was not possible to make available new funding for physical and sensory disability services for the Mid-Western Health Board in 2002 due to overall demands on my Department's capital funding resources last year. The question of providing additional funding to commence such new initiatives in the board's area this year is currently being considered by my Department. My Department will be in touch with the board in due course about the matter.
