Vol. 568 No. 1

Written Answers. - Driving Tests.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

597 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Transport if a driving testing centre will be opened in Cahirciveen, County Kerry, on a one day a week basis; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15588/03]

The location of a driving test centre must represent a reasonable balance between convenience to test applicants and the need for economy in delivering the driver testing service. I have no proposals to provide a test centre in Cahirciveen as the existing test centres in Tralee and Killarney provide adequately for the demand in the area.
