Vol. 568 No. 3

Written Answers. - Vaccination Programme.

John McGuinness

Question:

91 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the arrangements the South-Eastern Health Board have made to give the appropriate vaccinations to the child of a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; the information or advice which has been given to the parents by the South-Eastern Health Board; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16357/03]

Operational responsibility for the administration of the primary childhood immunisation scheme lies with the individual health boards, which have the appropriate regional and local management structures in place to manage the delivery of the immunisation programme. My Department has asked the chief executive officer to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
