Vol. 569 No. 3

Written Answers. - Residency Permits.

Tony Gregory

Question:

387 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform further to Parliamentary Question No. 575 of 25 March 2003, if, notwithstanding the nine months processing time referred to, progress has been made with this application for permission to remain here. [17709/03]

The person in question made an application for permission to remain in the State based on marriage to an Irish national, which was received on 28 March 2003. Applications of this type are dealt with in chronological order and my Department is currently processing such applications received in December 2002. I expect that this application will be processed in approximately six months.
