Vol. 569 No. 4

Written Answers. - Bullying and Harassment.

John McGuinness

Question:

269 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for the Environment Heritage and Local Government the number of cases of bullying and harassment which were being dealt with by Dúchas at the time it was merged with his Department; the breakdown by district; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17948/03]

The heritage functions of the former Department of Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands were transferred to my Department on 10 July 2002. At that time, five complaints of bullying and harassment were being dealt with, two relating to workplaces in Donegal, one in Dublin city and one each in Kilkenny and Meath. Investigations have been completed in two of these cases and are ongoing in the others.
