Vol. 572 No. 1

Written Answers. - Tax Code.

Joe Higgins

Question:

127 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Finance his plans to introduce personal tax credits for deaf persons, in view of the fact that a tax credit of ?800 is currently available to blind persons. [22907/03]

There is no specific personal tax credit or relief available to an individual on account of deafness and I have no plans to introduce such a relief at this time. However, I will bear in mind the Deputy's view in the context of future budgets.
