Vol. 572 No. 3

Written Answers. - Special Educational Needs.

Finian McGrath

Question:

287 Mr. F. McGrath asked the Minister for Education and Science the reason a person (details supplied) in Dublin 13 with a disability is still out of school; and if his Department will work closely with the family to resolve this matter. [22995/03]

The parent's first choice of school was not available as the school is full and a waiting list is in operation. An alternative place in a local school has been identified as an appropriate placement. This placement option is currently the subject of discussion with the pupil's parents and the relevant professionals working with the family.
