460 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform further to Parliamentary Question No. 317 of 3 July 2003, the number of such applications pending a decision; the number of persons in his Department working on these applications on 8 October 2003; and if he will make a statement on the matter. There were 258 applications of the type referred to by the Deputy in Parliamentary Question No. 317 of 3 July 2003 on hands as at 30 September 2003. The number of persons in my Department allocated to process such applications on the day in question was two.
