221 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of applications for nursing home subventions in the WHB for each of the past three years; the number seeking top-ups or enhanced subventions; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [30365/03]

Minister of State at the Department of Health and Children (Mr. Callely):

Health boards and the Eastern Regional Health Authority are responsible for the administration of the nursing home subvention scheme. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the relevant health board to investigate the matters raised by the Deputy and to reply directly to him.
