224 Mr. P. McGrath asked the Minister for Health and Children if a step-down six bed unit at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Mullingar was equipped but remains unoccupied; the date and expenditure on the project; and the reason it remains unoccupied. [30368/03]

Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin):

Responsibility for the provision of services at the hospital rests with the Midland Health Board. My Department has asked its chief executive officer to examine the issues raised by the Deputy and to reply directly to him.
