Question:

201 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for the Environment Heritage and Local Government the number of applications received under the local improvements scheme in each local authority area over the past five years; and the number of pending applications in each area following the 2003 allocations. [31890/03]

My Department has recently sought details from county councils of works carried out under the local improvements scheme during 2003, including numbers of applications on hand at the end of the year. The information requested is set out in the following table:
