The third item on the agenda is the scrutiny of EU legislative proposals. Three proposals have been referred to the joint committee for information. COM (2004) 812 is a proposal for a Council decision on the signing and the provisional application of a bilateral agreement between the European Community and the Republic of Belarus on trade in textile products. COM (2004) 857 is a proposal for a Council decision on the signing and the provisional application of the bilateral agreement between the European Community and Ukraine on trade in textile products. COM (2005) 5 is a proposal for a Council decision on the conclusion of the bilateral agreement between the European Community and the Republic of Serbia on the trade in textile products.
The adopted measure COM (2004) 822 has also been referred to the committee for its information. This is a proposal for a Council regulation amending and suspending the application of Regulation (EC) No. 2193 of 2003 establishing additional customs duties on imports of certain products originating in the United States of America.
