Accommodation for Committee.

On the question of accommodation we hope to get fairly adequate accommodation for the committee in the College of Science building which is being vacated.

I did not see any signs of it today.

Deputy Esmonde has been very active and very successful in representing our interests in this regard on the Committee on Procedure and Privileges. Is there anything you would like to add, Deputy Desmond?

No, except that it will be another eight or nine months before we get that accommodation. We have now suggested that rather than waiting for a bridge to be built across the third floor of the new block over to the College of Science we should have facilities for entering in the normal way through Government Buildings. On that basis the accommodation should be available in a matter of months.

In the meanwhile when the Houses are sitting is it understood that we will use this room?

Yes. We have priority here.

We have various other matters under consideration such as travelling expenses for Members of the committee. In that connection I hope very soon to be able to give each Member of the committee a brief on the various travelling expenses to which they are entitled.
