Seanad Éireann debate -
Wednesday, 5 Dec 1984

Vol. 106 No. 5

Business of Seanad.

When is it proposed to sit again?

It is proposed to sit again at 10.30 tomorrow morning.

Is there any change in the Order of Business?

It is proposed, as indicated earlier today, that we will start off tomorrow morning with the motion noting the Report of the Joint Committee on Women's Rights which deals with education and following that we will go back to the general EC debate. It is proposed to adjourn not later than 5 p.m.

In the light of the virtual failure of the House to discuss the Housing (Homeless Persons) Bill I appeal to the Leader of the House to make provision tomorrow for some time on that issue since it was intended to give it a fairly comprehensive debate today and that matter was not reached. I would be very disappointed if we had to postpone yet again an issue which has been hanging around this House for well over a year.
