412 Ms O’Sullivan asked the Minister for Education and Science if meaningful consultation with stakeholders including staff will take place before major organisational and structural changes are implemented in UCD in accordance with the Universities Act 1997 and the PPF partnership agreement; and if she will make a statement on the matter. As the Deputy will be aware, universities are autonomous bodies under the Universities Act 1997 and the precise details of the process of consultation which will take place with stakeholders on any organisational or structural change are a matter for the president and governing authority of the institution.
