107 Deputy John O’Mahony asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of persons who died by suicide in the first, second and third quarters of each of the years 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [34932/08]
View answerData on mortality is compiled by the Central Statistics Office and published in the Annual and Quarterly Reports on Vital Statistics. The breakdown in numbers of persons who died by suicide in the first three quarters of 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 are as follows:
