294 Deputy Denis Naughten asked the Minister for Health and Children further to Parliamentary Question No. 135 of 29 April 2008, the position regarding the implementation of the report of the universal neonatal hearing screening group; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [35912/08]

The Deputy's question relates to the funding, management and delivery of health and personal social services, which are the responsibility of the Health Service Executive under the Health Act 2004. Accordingly, my Department has requested the Parliamentary Affairs Division of the Executive to arrange to have this matter investigated and to have a reply issued directly to the Deputy.

295 Deputy Denis Naughten asked the Minister for Health and Children the waiting time for access to a speech and language therapist in County Roscommon and County Leitrim; the number of vacant posts in each county; the number of children currently awaiting a service and those that are receiving a service; the steps that are being taken to address this situation; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
