One of the requirements of the afforestation schemes administered by my Department is that the applicant must own, lease or be in joint management of the lands planted and provide documentary evidence of such title before payments can be released. In the case of the person named he has applied to the Property Registration Authority for registration of his title to this land under Section 49 of the Registration of Title Act, 1964. Once this title has been determined, his application for payment under my Departments FEPS scheme will be considered further.
