705. Deputy Denis Naughten asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government if he will approve additional staff for the local enterprise offices in counties Roscommon and Galway; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [30268/15]
View answerMy Department has not received staffing requests for additional staff in the Local Enterprise Offices of Roscommon County Council or Galway County Council. My Department works closely with Roscommon County Council and Galway County Council in relation to their staffing requirements and it is open to local authorities to submit staff sanction requests to facilitate the delivery of their services provided by the Local Enterprise Offices. Each staffing sanction request is examined on a case by case basis having due regard to the continued delivery of key services in the context of staffing and budgetary constraints.
