My Department has been notified that the person named is deceased. The Inheritance Enquiry Unit of my Department has informed the Legal Personal Representative of the person named of the Testamentary documents that are required for the release of payments to his estate. The balancing payments due to the estate will issue when the required documents are provided.

As a consequence of an LPIS appeal received by the above named person, officers of my Department completed a ground verification visit on this holding on 24 March 2015. The results of this were notified to the named person. The case was subsequently appealed to the LPIS Appeals Committee. The Committee have requested that a second inspection be carried out on the land. Officers of my Department will be in contact with the above named person to organise same.

An application under the 2015 Basic Payment/Areas of Natural Constraint Schemes was received from the person named on 24 February 2015. Processing of the application under both schemes is complete and payments have issued to the nominated bank account of the person named.

The persons named submitted a 2015 Private Contract Clause application to my Department seeking the lease of land and entitlements. There was an issue regarding land declared as leased and owned in this case that required my Department to correspond with the transferee. These issues have been resolved, processing of the application is well advanced and payment under the Basic Payment Scheme will issue shortly.

On 21 December my Department was informed by Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM) that its Board had decided to withdraw its aquaculture and foreshore licence application in respect of Galway Bay. On the same day BIM issued a press release concerning the reasons for its decision which is available on BIM’s website at www.bim.ie.

My Department received a Transfer of Entitlement Allocation Right and Reference Value application from the persons named to transfer allocations and values by change of registration of herd number from the second person named to both persons named. The Basic Payment Scheme application had been submitted in the name of the second person before the herd number was changed on 30th June 2015 into joint names held by both persons named. In the circumstances it was necessary for my Department to align both applications to reflect the change to the herd number so that processing could proceed. This work has now been completed, the application can be processed and payment will issue as soon as possible.

The person named submitted a 2015 Transfer of Allocation Right and Reference Value application to my Department. All details relating to land parcel details for 2013 and 2015 and Single payment entitlement values for 2014 had to be reconciled in order to process this application. This application has now been fully processed and payment under the Basic Payment Scheme is due to issue shortly. The person named also submitted applications under the National Reserve and the Young Farmers Scheme to my Department. Once payment under the Basic Payment Scheme has been made, the applications to the National Reserve and the Young Farmers Scheme will be processed with a view to payment issuing soon thereafter.

The person-named has submitted an application for grant-aid in respect of meal feeders and meal troughs under the Dairy Equipment Scheme of TAMS II. All applications received under the scheme are being processed on an ongoing basis. However, priority in terms of issuing approvals is being given to cases where milking equipment is urgently required and when these have been dealt with we will move to process all other cases as soon as possible.
